English Opening | Chessreps Entraîneur d'Ouvertures
Welcome to my study on the English Opening! The English Opening is the fourth-most popular move in the lichess opening tablebase. (If you don't believe me, look it up; it's after only e4, d4, and Nf3.) The English Opening was named after English chess player Howard Staunton, who was a great player in the nineteenth century. Anyway, let's dive right into the action! [EDIT: This just became the most popular English Opening study on all of Lichess. I can't even fathom this. If you read this, I am so very grateful you came to learn a little. Thank you!)
Play pawn to c4.
